In February 2020 Asociation Minties Bitės (MB) started coordination and implementation the Erasmus + project - Strategic Partnerships for Youth ,,Developing an Innovative Tool in Youth Work for Teen Parents”. Project No – 2019-3-LT02-KA205-006638.
Project acronym – Tool4Teen.
The project is being funded by Erasmus+ program and European Social Fund.
The project started on 01-02-2020 and will end on 31-01-2022.
Project coordinator – Association MINTIES BITĖS (Lithuania) and partners from: WYZSZA SZKOLA BIZNESU I NAUK O ZDROWIU (Poland), FUTURE IN PERSPECTIVE LIMITED (Ireland), WILLINGNESS (Malta), THE CENTRE OF EXPERTISE ON SOCIAL WELFARE IN SOUTH-EAST (Finland) will collaborate within the project. The aspect in selecting partners was their experience in carrying out European projects and geographical coverage.
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
improve the quality of youth learning; offer to youth workers an informal Learning / teaching / training material – Toolkit ,,Teen Parents COMIC STRIP Integration Road Map” to help them in their role as providers of non-formal learning opportunities to different targets; give youth workers an easy tool to be exploited in their daily work; empower youth workers and teen parents; offer them flexible, updated, easy tailored made instruments.
The following results are expected to be attained upon completion of the project:
- improved access for teen parents, versatility and social integration through new innovative curricula/educational methods/development of training courses;
- improved understanding of youth worker’s priorities at European level by civil society actors/professionals working with teen parents;
- increased confidence among teen parents to use their individual strengths, abilities and qualities for their social integration in general;
- increased attitudes of responsibility, independence and resourcefulness among teen parents.
empowered teen parents to use positive parenting methods.
- improved self-esteem of teen parents and empowered participation cultures in their integration path way, thus overcoming prejudices and stereotypes.

We invite you to read about the last meeting of the project partners and multiplier events in the fifth newsletter of the Tool4Teen project. We want to thank you all for being with us for these two years of the project implementation. We hope that comic book and guidebook we have created will benefit both teenagers and youth workers and break false stereotypes, make teenage parents feel more confident in raising their children, and youth workers will be prepared to work with teenagers.
The third meeting of the Erasmus + project - Strategic Partnerships for Youth “Developing an Innovative Tool in Youth Work for Teen Parents” (TOOL4TEEN) (Project No. 2019 - 3- LT02-KA205-006638) took place on 31st of January and 1st of February. Due to Covid-19 restrictions partners were not able to travel to Ireland, therefore they had to meet online on the Zoom platform.
On the first day, partners discussed the testing phase of the Comic book and Guide book. They reviewed the answers to the questionnaires and agreed on changes that should be done for both outputs.
On the second day, partners discussed multiplier events, also, they selected platforms where final material will be released and talked about other matters related to the project.
We would like to thank our partners for a great meeting!

On 13th of January we had a short online meeting with project partners from Ireland, Finland, and Poland. Partners discussed the testing phases of intellectual outputs and the upcoming transnational partner meeting which will be held on January 31 – February 1.

On the 29th of November, an online meeting with project partners from Ireland, Finland, Malta, and Poland was held. Partners mainly discussed about the testing phases of Comic Book “Teen Parents“ and Guide for Youth Workers.
The second meeting of the Erasmus + project - Strategic Partnerships for Youth “Developing an Innovative Tool in Youth Work for Teen Parents” (TOOL4TEEN) (No. 2019 - 3- LT02-KA205-006638) took place on 11-12th of October, 2021 in Łódź, Poland.
On the first day, the project coordinator Rimantė (Asociacija MINTIES BITĖS) discussed already achieved goals and briefly named what still needs to be done. The partners discussed about the design of intellectual products and the necessary changes. Moreover, project dissemination events were discussed as well. On the second day, two questionnaires were developed for the intellectual product testing phase. Partners also decided preliminary dates of future meetings of the project.

July 9, 2020 Employees of the Association MINTIES BITĖ carried out a regular group session of the project “Choose, Achieve, Keep” at the Pakruojis Association of the Disabled, during which they presented the ongoing project: - Coordinating and implementing the Erasmus + Strategic Partnerships youth education project “Developing an Innovative Tool in Youth Work for Teen Parents” launched in February 2020 (2019 - 3- LT02- KA205-006638)
